Australian SAS soldier shoots an unarmed Afghan man at close range in Afghanistan.
The helmet-camera footage was recorded during a 2012 raid in Uruzgan Province. The Afghan man, Dad Mohammad, had already been brought to the ground after being attacked by a military dog and appeared unarmed when the soldier fired three shots from just a few metres away.
The footage later became key evidence in an Australian war crimes investigation. Former SAS soldier Oliver Schulz was charged with the war crime of murder in connection with the incident and has pleaded not guilty. The case remains before the courts.
