To the vibrant and resilient people of Kosofe, Ikosi-Isheri, and Agboyi-Ketu, Today marks exactly three years since I accepted the sacred mantle to represent our remarkable constituency. Three years ago, we embarked on a journey rooted in a simple, unyielding conviction: that Kosofe deserved a voice defined by decisive action. I shared with you then that while I am not perfect, I would remain entirely devoted to showing up for you. Driven by a deep passion for our people, I promised to be present, accountable, and focused.
Today, I am thank the Almighty God and I am immensely proud to say: We have stayed the course. We did not just show up, we worked tirelessly to deliver tangible results across Kosofe. Together, we are showing what true partnership between a representative and the people can achieve. The evidence of our shared commitment is visible in the infrastructure we are building, the empowerment initiatives we have executed, and the steady, unwavering advocacy we bring to the legislative chambers every single day. Together, we have established a solid foundation of progress.
Our focus remains entirely clear, because there is absolutely nothing more inspiring than a community moving forward with a unified purpose.
Now is not the time to slow down; it is the time to sustain our momentum and complete the vital work we started. I do not view myself merely as your Representative, but as your dedicated partner in progress. While we have achieved significant milestones together, my heart remains firmly set on doing even more for our families and neighborhoods.
My record remains an open book. I invite you to examine our scorecards, see the visible projects across our various wards, measure their impact on our daily lives, and continue building alongside me.
To every constituent, community leader, and supporter who has walked this path with us, offered valuable feedback, and believed in this shared vision: thank you for giving me the strength to keep pushing forward. We are making progress, we are delivering on our promises, and we are truly just getting started.
The future is Kosofe.
@SustainOlami@HonMayorDele This is not 2006 this is 2026. That kind of politics built on deception and impunity will no longer be tolerated. The future of citizens cannot be jeopardized by greed, selfish interests, and political desperation.
My heart is too heavy. As a grandmother, a mother, a lawmaker and chairman house committee on women affairs and social developments, the recent abductions of our innocent students, teachers, and school children in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State hit me not just as a national crisis, but as a deep, personal ache. I feel the suffocating pain, the fear, and the anxiety that these children, teachers and affected families are enduring at this very moment. No mother or father should ever have to wonder if the child they waved goodbye to in the morning will return home safely. No teacher should have to risk their life in the noble pursuit of shaping our future.
I remember standing on the floor of the House of Representatives last year during a previous school abduction, looking around the chambers, and asking a question that weighed heavily on my soul. It is a pattern that should disturb every right-thinking citizen: we celebrate when our children are rescued, yet the perpetrators seemingly dissolve into thin air.
I asked then and I ask again today: βWHERE ARE THE KIDNAPPERS?β
I stand firmly by that position today. Until those responsible for these heinous, cowardly crimes are aggressively hunted down, prosecuted, and held publicly accountable, this vicious cycle of insecurity will continue to threaten innocent lives. True victory is achieved when the criminals are brought to book and broken.
At this critical hour, tears are not enough. We need relentless, coordinated action. I am calling for an intensified, seamless collaboration between the Oyo State Government, Federal security agencies, and local intelligence networks. Every resource must be deployed, and every stone turned to ensure the swift, safe rescue of every single student and teacher still in captivity. But we must look beyond today. We must shift toward a proactive security model; one built on robust, community-driven intelligence and heavy surveillance around our vulnerable institutions. We must stop reacting to tragedy and start preventing it.
The protection of our children transcends all regional, ethnic, or political lines. When a child is stolen, Nigeria bleeds. Our classrooms must remain sacred sanctuaries of learning, not hunting grounds for terrorists. This is why I pledge to continue advocating fiercely for deeper legislative engagement. We must strengthen our sub-national security structures and reinforce our national security architecture with effective, localized support systems that actually work.
To the mothers, fathers, and families in Oyo State you do not stand alone. I carry your pain in my heart. My thoughts, my prayers, and my continuous, unfiltered advocacy are firmly with you. I will not be silent.
I join millions of compassionate Nigerians in praying for the immediate, safe return of every child and teacher, and for the enduring peace and security of our great nation. God bless the families of Oyo State. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
