Earlier this year I stopped showing my face without makeup and hair because I internalized the idea that trans women don’t deserve to be seen if we aren’t feminine when we don’t put in the effort
I recently had a doll early in her transition who’s struggling to get hair removal approach me at the club and let me know that I remind her that she can take her time. That it’s okay to not transition “perfectly” and immediately present in the way that the world expects of us and we want, especially when many of us struggle to keep a roof over our heads from discrimination.
Ive recently gotten a stable job, back on insurance and the tides are turning for me. So for her, I want to stop allowing that shame to inform how I show up.
Nearly 4 years into my transition I’m finally getting laser and electrolysis. I am in the planning stages of multiple surgeries I could only dream of just a few years back.
As I approach that I want to ensure that my message to dolls like her is clear. Be kind to yourself. Transitioning is an act of self actualization and love in a world that is often cold, cruel and unrelenting to us. I want every trans woman struggling to keep pushing forward at the pace they can and I hope that if I teach them anything, it’s that it’s okay to be messy or imperfect and still love yourself every step of the way.
You might even find that it reminds others that it’s okay for them too ❤️
My general rule for feeling mentally well is understanding that the more I judge others negatively, the more I anticipate negative judgement from others. Practicing kindness and leniency and forgiveness has no guarantee of reciprocation, but it puts you in a better state of mind.
I want to be a degenerate SO bad but censorship is at an all time high and it’s so BORING
PLEASE let me be a demon woman leading wayward individuals to SIN
