Done letting the hate get to me. I work 55 hours a week. I deserve to play JP. When I was younger and had no responsibility I played Vega and worked for my wins. Now I'm old, can't DI and pay rent. Stay free if you lose to my Unc ass lol. I will play the salary mans character.
@KingRaichuFGC When I’m grinding ranked I forget there are other characters in the game too. lol
For me playing this way helps me feel like I’m playing the same way I did as a kid. You sat down and played who you wanted to learn or get better with.
Can we normalize staying in the new challengers rank? It’s sad that online has got everyone grinding for nothing. TBH if you’re an active member in the community that’s all it should take.
@KingRaichuFGC Facts and that’s why I stopped paying ranked. I think I got 2-3 master characters now? I found that as soon as I got master it was all about the next rank. I want to push it too, it’s just super hard to be on that grind if you wanna play multiple characters.
@KingRaichuFGC IMO intention changes. Instead of playing to get a rank, you now playing with the sole purpose of either getting better or beating the opponent. Having a rank to worry about adds to the pressure of playing. I run sets with master ranks and do fine why grind and get stressed out.
I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.
@Trevornoah I don’t feel like it’s going out on a limb to say that hard copies of games held together the black community…hell..ied go as far to say, the black home.
@JMaine518 this is why game stop is trying to get into things like TCGs and toys. Aint gonna be no games to sell in like 5-10 years. The retro game stores are gonna make a resurgence. love to see it.
The issue here is that people in the medium are too hooked on the main stream consoles. There are developers who still make hard copies of games. Hell, there are still developers making games on old hardware. Just too lazy and getting strung along by corporate being corporate.
