@Scharfschutsun — It was probably...
She opened the door, revealing what she was wearing to WA2000, a black shirt exposing just a bit of her abdomen, matched by her pants.
"Good morning, miss Hilda...that knock was a little loud. Are you okay?"
@Scharfschutsun — jacket, she would flinch at the sudden loud bang on her door, with even her cat Fore looking up in alarm at the door, and sprinted across her tiny apartment to hide underneath the kotatsu.
"What in the...?" She pulled her left sleeve back to check the time, blinking. —
@drunkommander — them.
At the corner of her eye, Jill studied the other woman before taking another deep breath of the cigarette.
"Sorry if my memory's not as it used to, but this is the first time we met, hasn't it?"
@drunkommander "Well, it's fine. She usually just takes it out from my payment at the end of the day. A drink's fine."
She took the stick out of her mouth as she exhaled a puff of smoke, holding it out over the railing and letting the burnt out tobacco fall quietly onto the pavement below —
@Scharfschutsun "Oh? Fancy seeing you here, miss Hilda. It's been a while, after all."
She gazed at her empty cigarette pack, and after sighing, she put on her usual red coat with a fuzzy collar.
"It's not much of a date as it is a cigarette run, but I'd be happy to have you along."
@drunkommander "Something like that. It's just my break so far. Thought I'd have to go for my break without a smoke."
She took the cigarette and nodded her thanks.
"I owe you one." She held the stick in her mouth and flicked her lighter, taking in a deep breath as it lit.
"Fuh. That's good."
@drunkommander She blinked as she was about to reach out for it, but hesitates.
"You sure? JC Elton's is out, and I won't be able to pay you back for one for a bit."
That vacant seat is no longer vacant.
Not with WA sitting in it, and she shouldn't have the need to mix anything any more. Well, maybe just one drink, as a treat for the whole bar.
