My colleagues often ask me how I am so tough, I say it’s from not being afraid to put a gun to ass when it matters.

Where I am from, we have to be tough— and I make sure the world knows it when I speak on behalf of the United States at the UN.

While people around the world starve, the United Nations has sat on its hands.

Secretary DeMint and myself have a plan to not only broaden our agricultural sector but to help feed the mouths of those in less fortunate areas of the world.

Our work on this is far from done.

My heart is with those in the tragic accident of Amtrak Northeast Regional earlier today.

Thoughts and prayers are sent to those aboard and to their families at home— I expect fully that both Congress and Secretary Richards will be investigating this closely.
