I now realize I applied so many restrictions on my life. Once you realize that you can go outside and have fun the whole day without any planned schedule or itinerary. And you can go alone if you want, thousands of experiences and possibilities are possible.

It feels so weird to walk in snow in the mountains when it is summer. One moment you are dying of heat, a few hours later there is a thunderstorm with ice and snow

@cadheringo I study way less, I also cram the night before and get good grades. But it is because I study more efficiently, learn better in class, and study in other ways than sitting down and cramming content. Maybe you also have good grades because you learn in different ways than before?

On top of that, we will be allowed (and even encouraged) to pick up plants and do a herbarium. Usually, it is forbidden to pick up plants in the alps as many are endangered!

Heading for a week of alpine botany in the alps, this will be so fucking cool. It is going to be an intensive course, but so worth it

I studied for the wrong exam and noticed 40 min before the exam. So yeah I just bullshited my way through. I will now second guess everything even more yay. I think I survived the exam though.

Saw a plant from the Ochnaceae family in real life, so cool! I only saw these cute little fruits in photos before. (Can we call them fruits? Idk). I think this one is Ochna serrulata

Exam went well btw, recognized most of the families presented. Let’s hope I got enough points on the long answer questions to pass the class (not that harsh on myself because it was a difficult one)

I have my tropical botany exam in 15 minutes. I will have to identify some families out of 68 I had to learn, with one minute per family. I started this semester with no botanical knowledge at all, so this is a bit scary. My note sheet is ready and let’s hope for the best

Had another lab, took these pictures of a cereal flower, I dunno which kind. I think the little feather structures (the stigmate I believe) are peak. They look so cute!
