The @ntare_league finale in Kigali was listed in the @RDBrwanda annual report-2024 among the top ten high-profile events in Rwanda that year (https://t.co/VXbcu6YYEX). The Ntare Lions League which started 10 years ago continues to lead the way for Alumni leagues.
A recorded number of 1200 NLL enthusiasts crossed the border that weekend to attend the finale. The numbers in the recently held finale in Fort Portal city were visibly higher. And the financial impact even more impressive. We knew the numbers would be higher but when we approached the Uganda Wildlife Authority for a partnership that would help shine the spotlight on the tourism city of Fort Portal that weekend, they showed no interest.
RDB through the Rwanda Convention Bureau on the other hand welcomed us like guests they treasured and gave us five star hospitality.
Alumni leagues in Uganda are growing. They present the kind of opportunity the agencies in Rwanda seem to see and the ones in Uganda seem to be blind to.
The wait is over! NLL is back and bigger than ever. As the ultimate showcase of talent, passion, sportsmanship and networking, this year promises thrilling football action, fierce rivalries, and unforgettable moments.
All teams are set, the stage is ready, almost all teams have strengthened their ranks.
More than just football, the Ntare Lions League is a celebration of networking, brotherhood and tradition. Whether you're playing on the pitch or cheering from the stands, everyone is part of this exciting journey.
But the biggest question remains Who will be crowned champions in Fort Portal?
