"A Fox In The Hen House" on my other channel. If you are a content creator who, like most of us, didn't see this coming, it's not your fault.

An awful lot of folks seem determined to rewrite what Hurricane Helene and its aftermath actually looked like.
Let me remind you:
👉🏼whole families were lost
👉🏼communication disappeared during the storm
👉🏼relief trailers sat untouched in Hickory because FEMA “didn’t know how to get them into the mountains”
👉🏼businesses were washed away - many of them will never return
👉🏼there are still road closures two years later
👉🏼parts of the BRP and the GSMNP remain closed
👉🏼hundreds, if not thousands, of families still haven’t had their homes repaired
👉🏼whole communities will never be the same… like Swannanoa
👉🏼Biden’s FEMA skipped over conservative homes and lied by telling the media that bands of armed hillbillies were terrorizing volunteers
👉🏼Cooper started pulling the National Guard out of WNC in November, despite the desperate need for continued debris removal
👉🏼victims were nearly kicked out of their hotels in the middle of a snow storm
And to add insult to injury, now I’m seeing influencers and media personalities tell people we need to “focus on the positive.”
No.
You want to make your little video? Make it.
You want to post your pretty pictures and say thank you? Go right ahead.
But don’t confuse positivity with pretending the devastation or the failures didn’t happen.
And don’t you dare tell generational hillbillies how we’re supposed to feel about Helene.
She stole homes - sometimes even the land under people’s feet. She took jobs. She ended lives. And she reminded WNC that it is the land of the forgotten.
You don’t get to rewrite that experience because the truth isn’t pretty enough for your feed.
When the call comes, someone has to answer.

@TeamYouTube second ask: is "not interested" and "do not recommend" going to be fixed?
I am getting recommendations for videos in other languages and videos I've already said I didn't want, over and over again. Thx👍
An important PSA regarding outdoor sirens.
1) They are referred to as outdoor warning sirens. Technically they have always been called that. Sirens were introduce primarily around WW2 to sound for nuclear attacks and air raids. Sirens WILL SOUND in some cases for severe thunderstorm warnings, or in rare cases, flooding, depending on the county.
2) Sirens are NOT sounded by the NWS offices. This is why you do not rely solely on sirens because sounding them may take time, and when seconds matter, it may be too late. Additionally, each county is different in their siren policies.
3) Continuing to call them tornado sirens because “that’s what I grew up calling them”, is negatively contributing to weather safety. This gives the impression that tornadoes are important and damaging straight line winds are less-dangerous. We have seen people upset that they’re sounding sirens for severe thunderstorm warnings, when here in Michigan, most of our significant damage occurs during straight line winds/severe thunderstorm warnings.
4) Common sense is huge on severe weather days. Don’t wait for a siren, or us, to tell you to take shelter. If you’re ever in a warning, go immediately to shelter on the lowest centralized room in your building. While we do our best to cover every single warning live, sometimes when there are 20 warnings in effect, it takes us time to cycle through each individual warning. As always, each warning is automatically posted to our Facebook page the moment it is issued. You can also download apps like our free MSC app that shows/tells you if a warning polygon is in effect for your location.
Keep this mind next time your local Facebook community group is filled with “why the sirens?” comments.
🚨DEAR GOD!!!
A mob of "teens" absolutely DESTROYED the concessions area of a movie theater in Sacramento CA.
Teens were seen CHUCKING POPCORN BUCKETS and then BREAKING INTO A DRINK FRIDGE and TOSSING bottles of drinks to friends.
WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!
@hcsotn UPDATE: Ayden Jules, the subject of an Endangered Child Alert, has been found safe in Hamilton County.

@K9River Know it well, give your double coated friend an extra bone to chew on, just because. And thank you for bringing to mind my own gal. Often I can remember seeing her just like that, always watching😎👍
