@heatloss1986 I don't have an exact cost estimate, but based on what I've read/heard F-35 is still 20-30% more expensive, and it requires a clearly more costly training and maintenance.
@heatloss1986 My concern for F-35 for Canada is the size of the country and yet it's limited defense budget. RCAF needs to acquire a large number of lower cost capable planes, and this is not possible with F-35. F-35 may be the right choice for EU countries, but not sure for Canada.
@aviationarchive Good looking plane. Interestingly, their order was cancelled due to US embargo, and they received only a couple of fully assembled plane. However, they managed to build the rest under the license in Sweden.
