There are both wealth creators and wealth destroyers in both bull and bear markets. Huge wealth was created by companies like Page Industries even when markets went nowhere. Stocks like DHFL destroyed wealth even in a bull market. Focus on stocks and not markets.
I understand many are demotivated by the continuous fall in stock prices. That's why I always suggest to keep a portion of assets in cash. Instead of getting dejected, you can use opportunities like this to get more of what you want.
You are aware that I've been building a completely new portfolio for last many months. I've finished that task. Hopefully this is going to set my wealth creation journey for the coming years.
As I've mentioned, I shared only 3 companies whose name would appear in public domain due to my holding of more than 1% stake in these companies. The names of other companies would not be disclosed, as they are not mandatory public information due to my stake being less than 1%.
There have been queries on the exact stake in these 3 companies. Roughly it is as follows:
Beacon Trusteeship - around 1.7%
Freshara Agro- around 1.75%
Ravelcare- around 3%
As I always repeat, I don't offer any recommendation whatsoever on any stock.
I actively discourage you from following me as my risk bearing capacity is very high, which is neither possible nor advisable for vast majority of investors.
Since this information would be mandatorily in public domain, so only thought of sharing.
Please note that don't ignore cash in asset allocation because it earns nothing. It is not earnings which counts here. It is the value of opportunities you get during bad times.
Markets can confer a company 20 PE or 70 PE. If you buy at 70 PE and earnings growth slows down from 25% to say 15%, the stock may start trading at say 25 PE. You're losing more than 50% of your wealth in a company whose earnings growth is decent 15%.
No company can escape corrections. 40% to 50% fall is normal, few times in your holding period. But the problem with high PE companies is, once high earnings growth slows down, you never get back the high PE, making your loss permanent.
We lose more in good companies than bad companies. I think the cardinal sin in investing is overpaying for high growth. High growth don't last forever and by overpaying in advance for future, you’re only left with loss.

Something remarkable is happening in GIFT City - the birth of the tax-free Family Investment Fund (FIF). Say, what now?
FIF: A vehicle for rich Indian families to use GIFT as a tax-free launchpad to invest around the world.
An FIF has to have a minimum capital of USD 10 million (about 82 crore). Now, to get money into GIFT, normally you have to go through LRS (capped at USD 250k per year). But a family-owned entity in India can send up to 50% of its net worth to the FIF.
Why is it tax-free? Because business income gets a 10 year tax holiday in GIFT and an FIF can make investing its business. This is a new and untested provision and experts are cautious, but at least prima facie this arrangement looks possible.
