@MalaakSafa This sounds nice on a coffee mug but everyone posting it still drives cars, uses plastic, and orders from Amazon. The values are loud, the lifestyle isn’t.
@PatTheSocialist “Stop data centers” is wild because we’re all using them right now to post about stopping them. The whole internet runs on the infrastructure y’all want to dismantle.
@Nithya_Shrii Real and depressing. A full cart in 1999 was 80 bucks. Same cart in 2026 is 280 and somehow has less food in it. The math broke and nobody acknowledged it.
@_wej01 Another viral “I learned a profound lesson” story with the exact same structure as every other one. The deaf neighbor reveal is too cinematic to be real.
@_sorrengailll This is the kind of “hack” that worked in 2012 and now flights cost the same regardless of where you book. Airlines figured out incognito browsing years ago.
The nitrite levels in repeatedly boiled water are far below national safety limits and generally pose no cancer risk. Overnight water stored in clean, sealed conditions is usually still safe to drink, though water left uncovered or sitting out too long should be avoided. For everyday drinking, simply boiling water as needed is the most practical and safe approach.
The FIRE movement didn't start on Reddit. It started in a 1992 book that asked one uncomfortable question: how many hours of your life is this purchase actually costing you? Vicki Robin and Joe Dominguez's "Your Money or Your Life" reframed money as life energy decades before frugality became a TikTok trend—and almost every modern FIRE principle traces back to its pages.

Some problems the boss isn’t unaware of. They’ve just never been said out loud. Because the moment you say it, it stops being a vague discomfort and becomes a problem you have to face. Team issues, strategy issues, product issues, growth issues, succession issues, partnership issues…
@thecitylion The problem isn't the phrase itself, it's that nobody asks "better than what" or "better according to whom." Without context it becomes pure dissatisfaction fuel.
The reason people feel unhappy is often not that they lack happiness, but that they’re fixated on being “happier than others.” Comparison is the root of misery; contentment is the root of joy. Just guard your own warmth. A peaceful heart is a blessing, and to know enough is to always be happy 🙏
According to reports, Nissan plans to cut approximately 900 positions across its European operations, accounting for roughly 10% of its European workforce. The layoffs will mainly affect office and warehouse staff in Europe, and will not include manufacturing employees for the time being.
Meanwhile, Nissan also announced it will merge two production lines at its Sunderland plant in the UK into one, and is currently in talks with other automakers about using the plant’s idle capacity for production. In addition, Nissan is negotiating with unions over matters including the closure of its warehouse facility in Barcelona, Spain.
The greatest clarity an adult can have is to mind their own business and stop trying to save others. Restrain the urge to correct people. In many things, even if you’re right, there’s no need to prove someone else wrong.
Over the years, we’ve come to realize that a child’s true understanding of the world doesn’t depend on how many places they’ve been, but on whether they can make sense of the world right in front of them.
Much of the time, our pain doesn’t come from reality itself, but from the gap between reality and expectations. ☕ Lowering expectations isn’t lowering standards. It’s reducing unnecessary disappointment. When you can calmly accept the fact that things may not go according to plan, you actually become more capable of finding a way through the changes. 😊
