Our Low Vision clinic is staffed with a skilled team of OTs (occupational therapists) and COTAs (certified occupational therapy assistants) and our Optometrist, Dr. Cal Wiese.

“Kids in the Kitchen was my brainchild, we got it up and running, but now it is doing so well it doesn’t even need us anymore, and that’s what we want to see, Alphapointe kids teaching other kids,” says Beth about her involvement with Kids in the Kitchen. Thank you, Beth.
This week is National Volunteer Week, and to honor the men and women who have given their time and energy to Alphapointe over the years, we will be profiling one of these people every day this week.
Today we are featuring Beth Kelloff, an alumnae of the greater Kansas City Delta Gamma chapter. Beth became involved with Delta Gamma when she was in college, and their fraternity foundation is “service for sight."
A key part of that journey is the support provided by our Job Placement Specialist, Martin Callen. Martin works one-on-one with clients who are ready to take the next step toward employment.
When clients first walk through the doors of Alphapointe, they often carry a mix of uncertainty and hope. Many are unsure of how they'll regain their independence or re-enter the workforce after vision loss. At Alphapointe, our mission is to turn that uncertainty into confidence.
