@ZeroJBS0 The book features several different planets and environments. Every species is going to have a preferred climate and function better in it vs those that aren't acclimated. An illarians heat dissipation functions, overall, are as effective as a human's. Thanks for the questions.

@ZeroJBS0 Illarians are capable of sweating, just to a lesser degree than humans. They can pant, and their bodies naturally circulate hot blood towards the extremities where it cools faster, helping to keep core body temperature down when needed via vasodilation.
