Kongwattan is a lush green meadow situated in the Aharbal region of Kashmir. The trek to the meadow starts from Aharbal waterfall in Kulgam district. Kongwattan , in the lap of Pir Panjal Range oversees gushing streams flowing through it.

Nun Kun is a mountain massif of the greater Himalayan range, located on the border of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh . It consists of two main peaks: Nun (7,135m) and Kun (7,077 m)

The tragedy is that two women were in a race to be the first American woman to complete the 14x8000 peaks. Both had 13, it was their 14th.

During the summit push Anna Gutu and her sherpa Mingmar died (Elite Expedition team of Nirmal Purja)
And Gina Marie Rzucidlo and Tenjen Lama are still missing.

Summit push in bad weather conditions when avalanche hit them at about 7,800m.

This is the consequence of racing and collecting. Very sad.
