Happy Holidays! After 6 years of establishing our truffle orchard from an acorn, we found our first truffle in 2025. It was worth the wait—one of the most beautiful years of the last decade, filled with many good moments. 🌱🍄
Fall means art. 🍂 In our greenhouse, even as some plants rest and others stay evergreen, roots thrive — full of mycorrhiza and life. Many try. Few succeed. Alpine Truffle does, because quality truffle trees start with science, care, and innovation. 🌱

From invasive plants to truffle orchard !
Before 2018, this land was covered with Scotch broom — completely abandoned.
Now it’s a productive truffle orchard, full of life and promise.
Hard work, patience, and nature’s magic made it possible. 💚

Our success comes from planting high-quality truffle trees and providing the right care: precise irrigation, consistent weeding, and maintaining soil pH with marble rock mulching.
Alpine Truffle has reached a significant milestone with the discovery of their first truffle in the orchard—an achievement years in the making. This journey began in 2018 in Washington State, driven by a vision and passion for truffle cultivation. The process started with collecting acorns, inoculating them with Périgord truffle spores, and carefully nurturing them in Alpine Truffle’s plant nurseries. They then meticulously confirmed their excellent mycorrhizal development through molecular and morphological studies. From there, they planted these truffle trees in the orchard, with unwavering dedication to managing their environment.
After six years of patient care, persistence, and hard work, their efforts have paid off with the discovery of truffles. This moment not only marks a major achievement for Alpine Truffle but also highlights the immense potential for truffle cultivation in the Pacific Northwest.
