I'm creating #WorldFabric: A high performance, open source, and crypto-free engine for many-user real-time VR applications on the web. Check it out and get involved on our Discord: https://t.co/gq61V7hYO7 #webxr#Metaverse
Mastodon is basically like Twitter, but it's a bunch of small servers run by different people that connect together, You can use it like it's one big site, but no one individual can mess it up. If you don't like how your instance is run, you can move.
This seems like a big deal to me, and I really appreciate the open sourcing of the technology. This deserves to be shared far and wide. #climate https://t.co/nQ5NOLy6gb
I realized very late that is not how fox front legs work. It's cartoony, so I rolled with it, but next time I will look up animated references before even modeling.
@Le_Toulousaing Heard anything? This is the only mention I've seen of it, and it's been down a while. I don't really want to migrate, since it's been great up until now, and I am very lazy.
Dear #VR developers, you don't have to make your game first person. If a top-down view works you can do that. You can make it tabletop size and let me interact with my hands. You don't have to tell me I'm a god or make the characters mice. Gamers know they're playing a game.
I bid on two nearby houses today in an online auction. I checked them out in person first, and they're shitty, but I'm pretty sure each is worth at least the $1,000 (+fees) I offered. Someone will probably bid more than I'm willing to, but you never know.
I believe it's possible to learn a degree's worth of knowledge from YouTube, but almost no one does. If you're not applying the knowledge you probably haven't retained it, and actually learning makes you feel like an idiot. The "algorithm" rewards videos that make us feel smart.
I noticed that the walls inside my house on one side were 4°F warmer than the other walls, so I taped a thermal blanket to the back of my house for science. The temperature of the siding behind the blanket is currently 20° F cooler than the siding beside it.
I opened my LinkedIn back up and put some #WorldFabric stuff on there. I want to do more in the VR space, but building alone is so much work, and I'm not getting any commercial traction. I need a team, and I can't afford one, so I'm open to joining one...for a nominal fee.
