Today marks the start of me posting my entire Pokémon Vending Series slab collection 👀🔥
I’ve been quietly accumulating these over the last several months, and while I’m still FAR from a master set… we’ll get there eventually 💪
A friend first introduced me to the Vending Series a few years ago, and I instantly fell in love with how unique and underrated the artwork is on these cards. Some of the art in this set is genuinely unlike anything else in Pokémon history.
So it only feels right to start with the very first slab I picked up last year at Collect-A-Con ✨

@punk6995 Its the first english non promo i believe, i could be wrong. But from my research it was what i concluded, i didnt want to spend the money on a 10 🤣
Let’s keep the psychic streak alive 🔮🌅
I knew I had to snap buy this Jynx the second I saw it listed.
📉 PSA 10 Population UNDER 50
When you’re chasing a Vending Series PSA 10 master set, low-pop cards like this don’t sit around for long — especially with artwork this unique.
Most Jynx cards lean heavily into the Pokémon itself, but this one almost feels more focused on the atmosphere. The sunset sky, ocean waves, and rocky coastline give the card this strangely peaceful vibe that completely contrasts Jynx’s intense stare 😅
And the artist behind it makes it even cooler.
🎨 Kagemaru Himeno
If you’ve collected vintage Pokémon long enough, you’ve definitely seen Himeno’s work before. She illustrated some of the most iconic and beautiful cards of the era, including cards like Neo Destiny Light Arcanine, Erika’s Venusaur, and countless classic WOTC-era artworks known for their soft, storybook-like style.
You can instantly recognize that same warm painted look in this Jynx card.
Another low-pop PSA 10 secured… and the master set keeps getting closer 🎯

Some cards have been on my radar for a LONG time… 👀🔮
Yesterday’s Kadabra post only made me want the final evolution even more.
So this morning, we’re bringing out the Masaki Alakazam.
This card has always felt different from normal vintage Pokémon cards. Between the galaxy holo background, the darker artwork, and the legendary Masaki promo history, it feels more like a trophy piece than a regular release.
And honestly, Alakazam was the perfect Pokémon for it.
The entire Abra evolution line in the Vending/Masaki era had such a mysterious atmosphere, but this card takes it to another level. Shin-ichi Yoshida absolutely nailed the psychic energy on this artwork.
For now, the PSA 9 will do…
…but a PSA 10 Masaki Alakazam WILL happen eventually 😤🎯
The master set chase continues one card at a time.
What’s your favorite Masaki promo of all time? 👀

The fact he has to make a video defending himself and trying to convince you his autograph is inherently worth the costs he charges is proof hes not innocent. Heres real pokemon cards signed by him and the secondary market cost of them, just like he shows the secondary cost of the Gengar he shows. He is far from innocent, and could care less about the kids

Keeping the psychic-type streak going this morning 🔮
Yesterday’s Abra card felt peaceful and almost dreamlike…
Today’s Kadabra feels like pure chaos.
The dark background, bent spoon, aggressive pose, and intense expression make this one of the most intimidating psychic-type artworks in the entire Vending Series. It almost feels like Kadabra just teleported into the scene mid-battle.
Shin-ichi Yoshida absolutely crushed the atmosphere on this card.
One thing I love about the Vending Series is how much personality each evolution gets. Abra looked calm and asleep in nature… meanwhile Kadabra looks like it hasn’t slept in weeks and is about to read your mind 😅
Another PSA 10 down, and the Vending Series master set gets a little closer 🎯
Maybe the Masaki Alakazam is next to complete the evolution line 👀

Love the lore of this card
Players actually had to grind to earn this card during the Grand Party 1999–2000 campaign. To claim the card, they had to log official battle records against 50 different opponents.
Has double black stars too like the Illustrator and Kangaskhan Parent/Child. Sugimori illustration of the OG legendary birds.
Id say theres a lot more peaceful settings in the vending series vs modern cards. I also have the Growlithe, not sure what that has to do with this, but I think you are just wanting to argue to argue. I love the Growlithe though.
The point of all my posts is educating people on something most don’t even know exists, and logging my journey to a master set. Feel free to stick around for it!
Sticking with Series 1 today 🔮🌳
This Abra card is such a perfect example of why the Vending Series artwork feels so different from modern Pokémon cards.
Instead of action or battle scenes, you’ve got Abra peacefully sleeping in a tree while a city sits quietly in the background. The entire card has this calm, dreamlike atmosphere that fits Abra’s personality perfectly.
The more you look at it, the more details stand out — the sketch-like trees, the open field, the distant skyline… it almost feels like a page from a storybook.
Aya Kusube absolutely nailed the mood on this one.
What I love most about the Vending Series is that even simple Pokémon like Abra were given artwork that felt artistic and memorable instead of just “filler” cards.
Every time I add another PSA 10 from Series 1, the master set goal starts feeling a little more real. 🎯
This might honestly be one of the most relaxing Pokémon artworks ever printed.

Snagged another big one for the Vending Series PSA 10 master set today 👀🥊
This Hitmonlee artwork is so chaotic in the best way possible. The stretched limbs, aggressive pose, and dark room background make it feel like Hitmonlee is crawling straight out of the card.
It almost has a horror/anime vibe to it that you’d NEVER see in modern Pokémon artwork.
That’s why I love this set so much. The Vending Series artists took risks and created cards that actually felt weird, unique, and memorable.
But what really made this pickup a no-brainer?
📉 PSA 10 Population: 56 🤯🤯🤯
When a card has a pop that low and you come across a good deal, you can’t hesitate. Those opportunities disappear FAST.
One more PSA 10 down… and the master set gets a little closer every week 🎯
