In a country that is laying the foundations of becoming a sporting superpower, the image of a National Coach and a former pole vaulter, Ghanshyam Yadav from the DSWY Academy, Bhopal begging a railway official is a devastating reality check. Ghanshyam was travelling with National Record holder Dev Meena and Kuldeep Yadav, two of India’s most promising pole vaulters. In a nation of 1.4 billion, where millions are stranded every day in the chaos of transit, Meena is supposed to be the exception. Instead, he became the rule.
Imagine, if Dev Meena, the national record holder, instead of Ghanshyam, was folding his hands in a desperate plea to a railway official; it would be the most honest but brutal portrait of Indian athletics. As a nation, we have reduced a champion to a beggar. It is Ghanshyam who understood that Meena’s dignity shouldn’t be tampered with. A rising star shouldn’t feel that the system has left him to fend for himself.
The son of a farmer, Meena grew up in the fields that built his strength which now clears a 5.40m bar. Yet, we humbled this National Record Holder at Panvel station. Told him his records, his precocious talent, his dream of winning an Asian Games gold, going to the Olympic Games means nothing.
His Rs 2 lakh carbon-fibre poles, the tools he relies on, worships, were treated like “unauthorized scrap.”
As a nation, we celebrate the ‘struggle’ after the medal is won. But we won’t think twice before humiliating the athlete while they are still in the trenches. Couldn’t the TTE have just paused, shown a bit of empathy, maybe, just googled to figure out who this athlete was? But, no, he made him stand for five hours, begging not for luxury, not for his own seat but for the right to carry his dreams, his tools home.
Meena is a NR holder. Imagine the lesser ones, struggling up the steps, trying to remain afloat. We aren’t building a sporting culture. We are digging a graveyard for talent. Meena, Ghanshyam, Kuldeep are not just athletes, they are the symbols of talent currently being suffocated by an indifferent bureaucracy. While the system is busy printing posters of politicians, film stars, the real Champions are folding their hands.

Two minor girl athletes found dead at Sports Authority of India's (SAI) hostel in Kerala’s Kollam
Both Girls Sandra (17) & Vyshnavi (15) were found hanging in hostel room from ceiling fans 😔
I have never seen women pee in public.
Is bladder control issue only in men in India?
Maybe I attended the wrong medical college and read wrong books.
On a serious note - people bending over backwards to justify public peeing.

A delivery agent attempted to rescue 27-year-old software engineer Yuvraj Mehta in Greater Noida, who drowned after his car plunged into a drain amid dense fog. Moninder, the delivery agent, tied a rope around his waist and jumped into a water-filled basement in a desperate attempt to save the victim.
He alleged that the police, fire brigade and SDRF personnel present at the spot refused to enter the water, citing extreme cold and the presence of iron rods inside.

She is Mia Blichfeldt, a Danish badminton player.
She came to India to play in the India Open on 11 January 2026.
The tournament was scheduled to be held in Delhi.
After she began playing, she complained about poor condition of the venue.
She mentioned issues such as dirt, bird droppings, pollution, and a lack of basic hygiene.
According to her, no one took her complaints seriously.
She then deliberately lost her match on 15 January so that she could leave India early.
After returning to Denmark, she posted an Instagram story today mocking India and criticizing the mismanagement by the Indian authorities.
India is being mocked by a player from a country whose GDP is 10 times smaller than India’s, in the so-called “Vishwaguru” era.
And No media is covering this
We organised the first @AJPTour India at this very stadium.
The reality on ground was deeply disappointing:
1.Electricity charges and AC usage were billed separately information disclosed only on the morning of the tournament.(Expect no return)
2.Bribes were demanded to allow trucks carrying sports equipment to enter even by private security personnel.
3.Unauthorised individuals claiming to represent @MCD_Delhi repeatedly approached us asking for “money” or “gifts.”
4.Toilets were in unacceptable condition. We had to deploy three of our own staff for cleaning, as stadium staff were largely absent from duty.
5.Foreign female athletes formally complained.
From the very next year, we shifted the tournament to a private sports facility in Noida.
The difference was night and day. Athletes, officials, and organisers everyone was satisfied.
This raises a fundamental question:
If government backing is removed, and federations are expected to pay purely from their own revenues, how many can actually afford to use these government sports facilities?
When you take government money out of the system, the true inefficiency becomes visible.
This is not elite infrastructure.
This is basic sports infrastructure a core pillar in the development of any sporting nation.
A serious, unfiltered visit to such facilities would be an eye-opener for policymakers, sports bureaucracies, and auditors alike.
Until then, we will continue to see talent move away not because of lack of ambition, but because the system that unnecessarily makes it difficult to do simple things....
🚨 Breaking :
World No 2 and four times world champion Anders Antonsen has pulled out of the INDIA OPEN 2026 in New Delhi because of High AQI and pollution.
He said it is not suitable to host a Badminton tournament.
He has been fined $5000 for it hut is ready to accept that.
If this doesn’t shame Indian and wake our conscience, nothing will.
Utterly shameful and embarrassing.
We know we are alone in this fight.
But we are not scared.
Mainstream media (except a few) refuses to cover MPLADS irregularities.
Every day, we receive emails from government departments asking us to delete our tweets.
And today, a politician sent us a ₹5 crore defamation notice just for exposing the truth.
Silence is what they want.
Accountability is what we demand. 🙏
Purnea MP Pappu Yadav has sent us a ₹5 crore defamation notice demanding the removal of our post and a public apology, claiming that the data we shared was false, malicious, and damaging to his reputation.
Welcome to the public court of justice and scrutiny.
The MPLADS portal is intended to ensure transparency in the use of public funds allocated to Members of Parliament. Since these funds come from taxpayers’ money, it is the responsibility of both the government machinery and public representatives to keep the information updated, and as citizens, we have the right to seek clarity and accountability regarding the amount spent and the works undertaken under this fund.
The data presented by our team is based entirely on the information available on the MPLADS portal, and our analysis reflects exactly what has been officially displayed and updated on the platform.
When we checked the MPLADS portal on 4 January 2026, only one work was listed as completed.
However, after our post, 25 projects were marked as completed on 12 January 2026 and 20 on 11 January 2026, all within just two days.
The website was updated with 45 additional completed works, bringing the total to 46.
If all the works were already completed but not updated on the portal, then as a Member of Parliament who receives 1,50,000 free local calls per year, multiple landline and mobile connections, free broadband up to ₹1,500 per month, and high-speed internet up to ₹2,200 per month, all funded by taxpayers, why were the concerned officials not instructed earlier to update the records?
If everything was in order, why were 45 works suddenly marked as completed within just two days after we highlighted the issue?
When we reviewed the updated list of completed works, still completion certificates were uploaded for only 4 out of 46 works and not a single photograph available for any of these projects.
In Serial No. 42, the website shows the completion date as 12 January 2026, while the uploaded certificate states that the work was completed on 01 August 2025.
Similarly, in Serial Nos. 43 and 44, the website shows the same completion date of 12 January 2026, whereas the certificates mention same 01 August 2025 as the date of completion.
Why is there a mismatch between the portal records and the completion certificates?
In the Total Expenditure section, out of 46 entries, 40 have been awarded to the same vendor, “R K Construction.”
As per the MPLADS Guidelines 2023, vendor selection must be done through an open and transparent bidding process. On what basis were such a large number of works awarded to a single vendor?
Is it usual, under an open and transparent bidding process, for the same vendor to receive such a large number of works?
In the Works Recommended section, a total of 101 works were listed, out of which 95 were recommended in September 2024, and nearly 96 out of 101 of these works were for street lighting alone.
Does Purnea require only street lighting, or are there no other development needs in the constituency?
As stated in the legal notice, his public life and conduct are subject to constitutional accountability and lawful scrutiny.
This is exactly what we are exercising, under Article 19(1)(a) of the Indian Constitution, we have the fundamental right to question elected representatives and seek explanations on the use of public funds.
The data was entirely based on information available on the official MPLADS portal and was shared in the public interest to seek accountability from an elected Member of Parliament.

This campaign wasn’t built by politicians or PR teams. It was built by citizens.
Thanks to every person who checked data, shared proof, asked questions and refused to stay silent.
And credit to India Today for covering #YeTheekKarkeDikhao when most media prefers bootlicking over accountability.

Since yesterday, some people have been trying to defame Priyanshu Khati, a 2021-batch IAS officer from the Himachal cadre, on X (Twitter). They are claiming that he is “pretending” to be Orthopedically Handicapped (OH) and saying that he looks completely fit , based on old social media posts.
Because of this online targeting , Sir has now made his social media accounts private.
I want to make a respectful appeal to Priyanshu Khati Sir — please come forward and share your side of the story. Give a strong and clear response to shut down these false and irresponsible attacks. Public servants deserve respect, not baseless character assassination.
Your name is Priyanshu Khati.
In 2019, you appeared in the UPSC exam under the PwD-5 (Multiple Disability) category and secured Rank 685. But you were not allotted any service, while candidates with lower marks got selected.
The reason given was that the combined percentage of both disabilities should be higher than a single disability, and your Orthopedic (OH) disability was also below 40%. So you were not considered eligible under the MD category.
Then in 2021, you again proved yourself by securing Rank 245 in the PwD-1 (OH) category.
But the big question is 👇
Did your OH disability actually increase in these two years, or was there some mistake in the assessment done by AIIMS?
Your hand was burned by hot oil, and in such cases only the OH category is usually considered. There is also a photo where you are raising both hands in the air. In Himachal, hardly anyone knows about your disability.
Earlier, you had deactivated your social media accounts, but now you are back.
We are with you.
Please come forward openly and punch these misleading narratives with the truth.
Ujala Singh, who became an APO in Bihar using a fake EWS certificate, probably doesn’t have as many documents as our team does.
We have submitted every single piece of proof.
So what is stopping the Bihar government from taking action against her?
Here are more land ownership documents, this time in her mother’s name.
Going by how many people on social media, especially Twitter are questioning incompetency and corruption of MPs, MLAs, IASS, IPS and other officials with hard data; it is pretty likely that these clowns will bring in some law to suppress it or raise the bogey of national security or something.
Never underestimate the malice and pettiness of these parasites leeching on tax-payer money.
An actually funny thing is the 🤡fanboys of these "public servants" accusing people exposing the corruption of being a hater, biased or a traitor. 🤣
> Paid 30% income tax on salary
