@UziCryptoo NH minimum wage is also $7.25. in Maine the minimum wage is $15.10. the same starting wage at McDonald's is higher in NH even though the minimum wage $7.25... you're argument is trash
@skumWgmi Your parents are right. Get rid of that car payment, your cell phone bill should only be $25 if it's more it's because you bought a phone you might not be able to afford. Find cheaper rent by either commuting or less roommates. Save and buy
@t_blom Even though it's safer statistically I'd rather drive. Driving is enjoyable and it keeps the mind active. What's fascinating is how tired people who use FSD get when I have to manually drive 15 minutes
@DissentFu Sounds like you've fallen into the Democratic policies trap of making below the financial threshold to maximize subsidies at the expense of never building wealth. Keep the poor poor for votes to build the voting block. 40% pay no federal taxes...
@DemshatetheUS@AustyUSA That actually is an issue in New England. Here in Maine CMP doesn't offer off peak rates. Standard offer(14) plus delivery (16) add up to 30cents kwh. Take the average gas price the last 5 years and it's cheaper to drive a hybrid.
@EvEvangelist@Tesla I strongly prefer manual transmissions although an EV is far superior to an automatic. Being a little mentally tired afterward might actually show how much cognitive work driving can involve, and that kind of engagement may help keep the mind sharp.
@x70crash@JeebsTX@Tesla@Tesla_AI The law is you have to be completely thru the intersection before the light turns red. Going thru when it's yellow and turning red while your in the intersection is considered running a red light and citable.
@liorsela The brain is a muscle and driving uses it, even through self driving feels automatic. Accelerated cognitive decline is worrisome until it's needed in our senior years with FSD.
@niccruzpatane I don't want any EV with Maine's electric rates! Currently 33 cents kwh with no off peak rates and going up. 30k for a 2 seater that's not a sports car and you can't drive is another issue.
@kale_abe Rural Maine, driving is fun! Electricity is extremely high here, 33 cents kwh with no off peak rates. I can't understand why people drive automatics. Manual transmissions are what make cars fun to drive.
@RealEzraFairfax@TeslaCowboy1 That stat was from chatGPT. Range has come a long way, but a used 3 gives a full "range" of 180. Lucky to get 150 in winter or summer. Couple that wish home charging rates at 32 cents kwh and we have 2.4% bevs in Maine. Even Amazon went back to ice vans.
@LamarMK Mazda3 $34. The same price it would be to charge a model 3 at home at Maine's current electricity rates of 33 cents kwh. CMP does not offer off peak rates either.
