So just like I did with AIM, MySpace, and other generations of media back to SixDegrees and Prodigy, I bid farewell to Twitter and wonder which site will be the next to fall. And there’s only one way for me to sign off: #FuckDonaldTrump. 3/3
After sixteen years here, this tweetstorm is my last post. You can find me with this username on almost every site. I stayed well past twttr’s death and now - thanks to the Apartheid asshole - X is its unrecognizable zombie. 1/3
I joined right after losing my mom and have since experienced so many highs and lows here. This site almost cost me my job at Maclay on multiple occasions - yet I stand by every one of those long deleted posts and I’m confident that time has proven me right. 2/3
@JonBoeckenstedt My thought is that if you’re mostly doing museums and the like, the extra aperture of the 2.8 will make a big difference. Outside, the f4 would cost you some artistic flexibility but the broader range of lengths will be worth it.
@ksausville I was a young evangelical who was one of the 527 votes. I voted absentee (was in college) so it probably never got counted. I assuage my guilt by realizing that the election was going to go W’s way no matter what the results. And by raising two kids who know better than I did.
@danielkauppi Took me a while to find it. All of these were suggestions I’d seen before today, but I first saw AK this afternoon. I feel pretty OK about tomorrow. And that scares me because I felt good about 2016 until that afternoon.
@CummingsLinda@aserkin I was going to joke about a conspiracy but knowing this hellsite and the freaks on it, it would have been taken seriously and broadcast globally. 🙄 (I always assumed they’re identical and it’s a marketing gimmick. Even with their symmetry, they’re still superimposable.)
@NWSTallahassee There are a lot of dry Octobers, but I’d forgotten about the 2019 streak that encompassed all of September. Very strange considering it’s usually so wet.
If Mark Cuban wants to start a new national paper with disgruntled star reporters from the WaPo, NYT & L.A. Times, with full editorial separation, I’ll subscribe.
@sitiart My MIL wanted to just put her ballot in the box at the side of the street and put the flag up. Literally 3 days after someone stole every Harris sign in ours and two other major neighborhoods. No, ma’am, this vote is too important for that.
.@NBCNews confirms: Beyoncé is expected to appear with Vice President @KamalaHarris in Houston Friday evening, three sources familiar with the planning tell @KellyO, @albamonica and me.
One of the people said Beyoncé plans to performance as well.
