We moved from 3 frontier AI labs to 5 in a single week!
This week was the craziest week in AI news, almost since we've done the @thursdai_pod - new episode and a 5500 word newsletter is here!
https://t.co/g5hSZGJZbn
We covered about 9 releases, tested 5 of them on air, had @petergostev discuss his GPT Sol early access experience and how he missed it when it was taken away.
Unfortunately Fable fucked up and suggested I use an AI generated Thumbnail that doesn't do well on X (h/t @0xSero) so most of my feed missed it.
If you've always heard about ThursdAI but never seen the final output (Polished and sourced newsletter, Podcast) - this week would be a great one to check us out!

@Teknium@NousResearch Ayee, thanks for the response @Teknium.
Looks like XAI only supports zero data retention for Enterprises but promises to not ever train on customer data unless explicitly enabled.
Hey, @Teknium@NousResearch
Does Hermes use ZDR when using Grok oauth? I'd love to know that my whole mac is not being uploaded to spaceXAI servers just cuase I decided to try out their models ๐
We care deeply about your privacy and respect customer choice. For teams using zero data retention, no trace and code data is ever retained. All API key use of Grok Build also respects ZDR.
If ZDR is disabled, the /privacy command is available in the CLI to disable data retention, which also deletes previously synced data.
Run the /privacy command to view or change your settings at any time.
๐งณ ๐ I now have a custom packing list for my 40th trip to SF... with a DB, search and honestly SOL didn't have to go so hard but it did!
This took it like 3 minutes and one more followup for the syncing between devices.
We truly live int he best timeline.
Introducing - the Volkov expedition times eval!
For my 40th next week, I wanted it to be unforgettable for my kids, I Fabled a personalized daily guide, using Fable, GPT-Image2 & NB2
Then tested on Meta new Image and ByteDance ๐
@simonw hmm let's see. I have 1 main one, I migrated to Hermes and honestly never found a reason to go back yet.
My wife has... 6-7 at this point? a few hermeses but one main OpenClaw she swears by!
GPT-5.6-Sol-Ultra built a Doom-like game in SQL: the game is running in the terminal on the left, while the SQL powering the game in the terminal on the right.
How it works:
DOOMQL is a game engine implemented in 2,000+ lines of SQL. Every frame, SQL raycasts the scene, calculates every RGB pixel, and encodes those pixels as coloured terminal characters. The same SQL then handles controls, movement, collision, enemy AI and combat, while Python connects SQLite to the keyboard, clock and terminal.
UGHH where's my Codex icon setting? latest update and it's gone?! Here's what my settings panel looks like.
