EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

I’m excited to announce the launch of a new daily series beginning January 1, 2026 called
“Promises & Shadows: Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament.”

Throughout the Old Testament, Scripture points us to Christ in two primary ways:

✴️ Promises: direct prophecies that look forward to Christ.

✴️ Shadows: people, events, symbols, and institutions that point beyond themselves to Christ.

From the Seed of the woman to the Passover lamb, from the priesthood and temple to the suffering servant and the coming King, the Old Testament trains us to read Christocentrically, with Christ as its focus and goal.

This is how Jesus read the Scriptures. On the road to Emmaus, Luke tells us that Jesus began with Moses and the Prophets and showed how all the Scriptures spoke of Him (Luke 24:27). The Old Testament is not merely historical or “Jewish”. It is about Christ.

Starting January 1, I’ll be sharing a daily entry as we walk from Genesis to Malachi, tracing how the Old Testament prepares us to see and savor Christ through these “promises and shadows.”
