COMPETITION TIME!
Just noticed that the printer failed to attach the very last page of the calendar in the bottom of the box.
I’ll give this away today (rather than chuck it) Just RT and follow and I’ll pick the winner at 7pm.
My little shop: https://t.co/AT6JWR2W8W
@R1chardWheatley@enunomaduro From a dev point of view it offers flexibility without all the nonsense. Handful of plugins and you can rebuild 95% or WP sites easily
I’m feeling Christmasy so I’ll give away one of my 2025 calendars here and another over on Bluesky.
To win just RT and follow and I’ll pick a winner 1pm, Sunday 8th Dec
Do visit https://t.co/AT6JWR2ojo and support independent artists.
Good luck!
@timoldland@jamiesmart I’ve watched 2 a few times. It’s a 6/10 for me. Loved the first one, haven’t seen the third yet… ( which is probably due to my indifference to DP2)
So, like a lot of people, I’m off.
I’ve grown quite weary of Social Media generally mostly it’s just demoralising.
I’ve made it as far as creating https://t.co/pdSVWLnxtI and as a reward for finding me there’s a nice picture of my cat.
I’ll do my best to post but, you know…
@wpmark Wordpress’s weakness is the cornucopia themes and plugins that exist only to sell each other meaning clean content, clean markup and ease of use get lost behind the sale of a £15 plugin
@wpmark When you say “built this with WordPress” what did you actually use? Some prebuilt theme you’ve childed/hacked (circa 30% of WP sites), a god awful page builder that produces fire code (55% of WP sites) or some handcoded html templates?
@BohuslavSimek@PovilasKorop We’ve already got plenty of sites in production that have replaced Wordpress with Filament/Laravel admin panels. They are faster, simpler and easily adaptable
@BohuslavSimek@PovilasKorop Most of those plugins are awful page builder/extenders. Good tempting options and custom fields would put the vast majority of those out to pasture
As this is based on Laravel extending the app would be simple for any dev
@jamiesmart I’d remove the disk from the caddie and put it in a usb enclosure. The risk of getting the wrong power supply will blow it up.
If you aren’t confident and are near Oxfordshire I’d happily help.
