S3 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their tour of Lady Haig's Poppy Factory in Edinburgh. Pupils learned about the origin of the poppy & completed a range of activites to build on existing skills & knowledge @poppyscotland
A simply wonderful afternoon at our @ParkinsonsUK friends and family event. Lovely for families to see the support network and friendships forged but also hear the improvement in both volume and confidence. Beautiful harmonies emerging too!!!

We're delighted that @AlvaAcademy teacher David Clifford was awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List, for his fundraising for our friends @macmillancancer.
David also leads the Alva #Parkinsons Choir and we know that our community will want to congratulate him on his award.
