How old is this research, any quantitive metrics derived from factual operational cruise data related to the effects on climate? Times are changing fast in this sector. As always in cruising; the ship has to sail, waits for noone. Interesting reading these collaborated opinions.

Last night,
I got out of bed to see the #northernlights

I pointed my phone at the sky, but couldn't capture anything other than darkness.

Then I paused and looked up....

Stars for as far as I could see.

Beautiful.
Calm.

The 'privileged'..... take what they need and leave everyone in their destructive path. The "Me" culture, killing the natural course of families....killing a life worth living in your own place. This has to end. Fellow academics remember to not be part of the problem.

Interesting thought, but in a couple of months people will be done their vacation time and back to business as usual. If the fires are happening as they are visiting now it won't be a deterrent later either.
