Actually just looked up Florida’s schedule and I see 5 likely wins, 4 likely losses and 3 that could go either way. Not sure they’ll do better than 8-4. If so, they’ll get a good Bowl game for sure, but they won’t even sniff the CFP.

In case any of them sees this: I’m aware that the SEC has more “top” teams. The point is that the 6th best Big10 team and 4th best ACC team aren’t gonna make the CFP. Neither will the 7th or 8th best SEC team. Your conference doesn’t inherently define how good/bad you are.

The thing with Gators fans being so confident, is it means they’ve fully bought in on the SEC own-fart-sniffing. They’d probably be the 6th or 7th best Big10 team and the 4th or 5th best ACC team. It’s not necessarily a conference thing; they’re just not that good right now.
