A student was horrifically attacked by a group of usual suspects who had gone out specifically to prowl for a victim.

Arjan Purewal, 23, hired a BMW with a fake ID to target a victim and carry out a rape, police said.

He and two other men - Jaskaran Thandi, 23, and Hassan Jangheer, 23, - picked up a woman and drove her up and down Broad Street in Birmingham.

She was then taken to Vine Lane in Clent - around a 30-minute drive away - where she was attacked.

Purewal orally raped the woman before Jangheer forced her to perform a sexual act on him.

Thandi sexually assaulted her and Purewal filmed the appalling assault on his mobile phone.

Only the noose will cure this!

Thieves who film themselves grabbing a family’s rabbit by the ears and stealing him from the garden

Two men were caught on CCTV outside a house on St Pauls Street in Hull.

One in a dark coat picked up 9 year old Peter by his ears, dangled him struggling in mid air for more than 20 seconds while the other filmed, then both walked away laughing still holding him by the ears.

Owner Amy Grace, 38, found him gone when she returned home and screamed when she saw the footage.

The family searched for hours and feared he was dead as Peter needed medication three times a day for gut stasis.

Ms Grace confirmed in an update that her pet had been found and since returned home

She wrote that Peter had been 'dumped in a car park'.

She said: 'Peter was found dumped in a car park last night and a lovely kind stranger has messaged me with a video and I now have him home.

'He will be going to the vets to make sure everything is ok with him.'

🚨BREAKING: TV presenter and former footballer Alex Scott discovered that one of her Jamaican ancestors owned 26 slaves.

During filming of the BBC series *Who Do You Think You Are?* in 2021, Scott learned that her four-times great-grandfather, Robert Francis Coombs — a free person of colour in Jamaica — owned 26 enslaved people between 1817 and 1832.

When Britain abolished slavery, Coombs submitted a claim and received compensation from the British government for those 26 individuals, as was standard policy at the time for slave owners.

Scott was visibly emotional on the programme, saying she had expected to find ancestors who were enslaved, not owners. She stated it went “against everything that I stand for.”

The case highlights a less frequently discussed historical reality: free people of colour in the Caribbean also owned slaves, and the British government paid compensation to owners (not the enslaved) upon abolition.

99% of women and girls in Somalia have been mutilated in the following way: the clitoris is cut off, along with the inner labia. Then the inner flesh of the outer labia is removed before both sides are sewn tightly together, leaving a hole no bigger than a matchstick for urine and menses to trickle through.

All of this is done in childhood, and without any form of anesthesia whatsoever. Sometimes the little girl is given a scrap of leather or a stick to bite down on. The cutters use old razor blades, or sometimes a piece of broken glass.

This is only the beginning of a girl’s pain.

Most wedding nights in Somalia are aided by “the little knife” — that is, the new husband slices his bride open so that he can penetrate her now cut and bleeding scar tissue. Some men, however, simply batter their way through, tearing that tiny hole open by sheer force. When a woman goes into labor, she’s cut open more widely, then sewn back up afterwards so that when sex resumes she will have to be cut open yet again.

This practice leads to countless deaths from infection and a drastic increase in maternal mortality, but Somali men still refuse to marry uncut women, forcing mothers to have their daughters cut or face social stigma. Uncut girls are seen as dirty; the term for clitoris is a playground taunt in Somalia, and girls who are not cut are usually ostracized by their peers.

The Somali government recently debated the legality of this appalling custom, and the parliament largely split along gender lines. Female MPs roundly condemned FGM, while male MPs insisted that having a clitoris made a woman more difficult to penetrate, and quoted the hadith in which Muhammad condoned the practice. These are educated men who nevertheless claim that cutting a girl is necessary in order to control her sexuality, and that an uncut woman will be promiscuous and untrustworthy.

In spite of the Somali government’s continued support for FGM, foreign aid continues to flow into Somalia unobstructed. The West should refuse to give the Somali government so much as a single dollar until they outlaw FGM and take positive steps to combat the problem.

One tactic that has been highly successful involves showing Somali men a video of a girl being mutilated. Because FGM is seen as women’s business, most men have no idea what it entails. Men who watch this video are horrified, and the most common reaction has been “Not my daughter!” This proves that FGM is not hopelessly entrenched in Somali culture. Western pressure and resources could make an enormous difference in the lives of Somali women and girls, and put a stop to this barbaric practice.
