It is the floor drain..

The water in the trap dried out.
Sewer air is coming up through the grate.Pour water into the drain.
If the smell stays, the vent or the trap is wrong...

I texted my sister: She's still here.

My sister replied: Yeah, she's going through a lot. Just be supportive.

I didn't agree to be supportive. I agreed to one night. My sister volunteered my space without asking me.

Grandpa refuses to use the GPS my cousin set up for him, insisting on his own directions even though he's gotten lost at least four times this year alone.

He once ended up two states over trying to reach a grocery store fifteen minutes from his house.

Family finally staged a small intervention about it, mostly jokingly, tried explaining how the GPS actually works one more time.

1. Don’t forcefully throw out your tenant without following due process.

2. Don’t change the locks because your tenant has not paid rent.

3. Don’t disconnect electricity or water just to force your tenant to leave.

4. Don’t enter your tenant’s apartment whenever you want. Give proper notice and respect their privacy.

5. Don’t increase rent anyhow without complying with the tenancy agreement and applicable law.

6. Don’t threaten, insult or harass your tenant because you want them out.

7. Don’t beat or physically assault your tenant, no matter how annoying the situation is.

8. Don’t seize your tenant’s property because they owe you rent.

9. Don’t destroy or remove your tenant’s belongings to force them out.

10. Don’t deliberately refuse necessary repairs that are your responsibility.

11. Don’t discriminate against tenants because of their tribe, religion, race or other protected characteristics.

12. Don’t ignore the tenancy agreement after signing it.

13. Don’t use the police to intimidate your tenant over what is essentially a civil tenancy dispute.

14. Don’t remove the roof, doors, windows or other parts of the building simply because you want the tenant to leave.

15. Don’t take the law into your own hands. If you want possession, use the proper legal process.

Dear landlord, owning the property gives you rights. It does not give you the right to oppress your tenant.

And dear tenant, having paid rent does not mean you can violate the terms of your tenancy agreement either.
