Sooooo....we're now doing gastric POCUS for ALL GLP-1 agonist pts. And the results are...not pretty. It changes our mgmt frequently. Rather than rely on an arbitrary fasting time, a bedside test has been key. If you're new to this, check out this vid 👇

Good thread by @DrNavSidhu unpacking the implications of GLP-1 and fasting status. I have to say: just learn #pocus gastric ultrasound. It’s not that difficult to master. And provides definitive answers to help your patient, and you. These guidelines are IMHO too unhelpful
