April has been busy for the PDaHW Working Groups!
The groups met to discuss progress with the 2025 Goals and to draft 2028 goals based on the thematic analysis of the feedback from the engagement events!
Many thanks to the group Chairs and members for all their hard work 👏
We are on our way!
I want to say a huge “thank you” to all those who have shared the vision and kept the faith in supporting this historic decision.
As far back as 2010 I made a commitment to the profession that the then embryonic RPS would in time mature to form the basis of a royal college for our profession.
Much has happened since then, and I am overjoyed that we are now back on track and ready to begin this momentous journey together.
A journey which will require us all to step forward and embrace the moment and the opportunity before us. The dawn of a new era of collaboration across the profession. The time to look ahead with renewed enthusiasm and hope for our future and that of our patients.
The changes will be evolutionary. They will not happen overnight. The direction of travel is clear. The ride may occasionally be turbulent, and we will need to navigate with unity of purpose to reach our destination.
I know it will be an enduring testament to those at the RPS who took the bold decision to propose the establishment of a royal college, and the trust that members have placed in them and the great leaders across the pharmacy community to make this a truly defining moment and to co-create the professional destiny we all wish for.
Now let’s make it happen!
