Walkers aren't letting the rain stop them from going the distance for @Beatson_Charity.

More than 2,000 participants set off on the annual Off the Beatson Track 10k sponsored walk this morning.

Among them was Lanarkshire cancer patient Peter Abernathy who lost his eye due to skin cancer.

The 63-year-old from Carstairs is currently going through treatment, four years on from his first diagnosis.

Peter hopes he can repay those that have helped him on his difficult journey.
