This happened last Thursday at Denver International Airport.
Lucas, 6, autistic and minimally verbal, was having a sensory meltdown at the security checkpoint — too much noise, too many people, bright lights. He sat on the floor rocking and hitting his head with his fists. His dad, Brian, knelt beside him, but nothing was working. Security tried to help and made it worse. Travelers stopped and stared; some took photos.
Then Sharon, 61, rolled toward Lucas in her wheelchair with her four-year-old Golden Retriever PTSD service dog, Bear. She stopped a few feet away and unclipped his leash.
Bear walked to Lucas on his own, lay down beside him, and pressed his body against his side. Lucas stopped hitting his head immediately, gripping Bear's fur, his rocking slowing until he leaned into the dog and stayed there. Sharon held back, letting Bear work.
After several minutes, Lucas calmed enough to stand. Brian turned to Sharon, tears in his eyes: "How did you know to do that?"
"Bear is my PTSD service dog," Sharon said. "He's not trained for autism. But he recognized Lucas needed help and pulled toward him. I trusted his instincts. He's done this before — approached people in distress without being asked. He just knows."
"Lucas was in complete meltdown. I couldn't reach him. Security couldn't help," Brian told reporters. "Then this stranger let her service dog help my son. Bear did what I couldn't."
Airport staff gave the family priority boarding and commended Sharon. "Bear helps me every day," she said. "But sometimes he knows others need help too. I always trust when he tells me someone needs him."
Sometimes a service dog's greatest gift is recognizing pain in someone who isn't even their handler.

“I just got done taking my son to the doctor and they tried telling me at the front desk that I don't have access to his patient portal anymore because he just turned 13. Are you kidding me? Oregon Minor Consent Laws kick in, minors gain rights to confidential care in certain areas without parental knowledge or consent

- Age 14+: Can consent to outpatient mental health, drug and alcohol treatment
- Age 15+: Can consent to general medical, hospital, dental and surgical care
- Any age: Full confidentiality for reproductive health birth control, STI, HIV testing and treatment

Systems like MyChart and Epic often default to restricting or segmenting parental (“proxy”) access starting at age 13

My internal e-mail was leaked to a third party. This is a snip of the e-mail posted by Jeremy Sinks. He then proceeded to DM several people the entire e-mail. I have redacted the names below although, this article and the DM’s via Jeremy Sinks and Andrew Fayal were not redacted.

The bottom of the first image Sam asks publicly who sent this e-mail to them.

Andrew Fayal advised that Mary Flynn O’Neill had shared that e-mail with them.

I sent a message to GF and Mary asking why internal e-mails were leaked. Mary did a thumbs down emoji signaling she did nothing of the sort.

Someone is lying.

We need to be focusing on the mission of saving children, and not abusing survivors and overcomers.

If you want to preach accountability and transparency…then look in the mirror and humble yourself. Accountability and transparency starts with yourself.

I wish no one harm. I have forgiven everyone, but I will have nothing to do with individuals or organizations that treat me and other survivors this way. It is not easy to share what I have gone through, and to trust. Trust is earned and not given. I made the mistake of letting my guard down.

What did I/we do to deserve this? Absolutely nothing. This was not just drama GF. This was the most vulnerable broken and shattered pieces of my life that God healed and I shared. What happened to me and others is abuse and it should never have been tolerated.

God will use what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for His good. He gets the glory.

I will continue to pray for those who curse me and continue ahead.

In 2012, the U.S. government banned incandescent light bulbs. The reason given: energy efficiency. The real reason is in a document that was never meant to be public.

In 2007 — five years before the ban — the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory completed a 14-month neurological study on LED flicker. Reference: PNNL-SA-2007-4419. Classified: "Limited Distribution — Not for Public Release."

What they found:

LED bulbs at 120Hz produce flicker invisible to conscious perception but fully registered by the thalamus. Continuous exposure over 6+ hours per day: measurable melatonin suppression, circadian disruption, and a 23% reduction in deep-sleep duration within 90 days.

23% less deep sleep. In 90 days. From your ceiling lights.

A former lighting engineer — 9 years at one of three companies manufacturing 87% of LED bulbs in North America:

"We were told the flicker had to remain at 120Hz. Not because of cost. Not because of engineering limitations. Because the specification came from outside the company. It was a compliance requirement attached to the federal energy rebate program. If you wanted the subsidy, you built to their spec. Nobody asked why the spec existed. We just built to it."

The spec came from the DOE. The DOE study proving neurological harm was completed 5 years before the ban. They knew. They mandated it anyway.

What 120Hz flicker does over years:

Melatonin suppression. Pineal calcification accelerates. Immune response weakens. Emotional regulation deteriorates. Attention span shortens. You become easier to agitate. Easier to distract. Easier to control.

Incandescent bulbs: continuous current. No flicker. Smooth light identical to fire — what human biology evolved under for 300,000 years. They banned the one light your brain was designed for and replaced it with one that degrades you 120 times per second.

The fix: Replace LEDs in rooms where you spend 4+ hours — especially bedrooms — with incandescent bulbs. Still legal as "heat lamps" or "rough service" bulbs. They never disappeared. Just relabeled so you wouldn't look.
