Responding to every Houthi claim can amplify its propaganda and help it portray itself as a state’s equal. Different opponents and objectives call for different communication strategies. The frequency of press conferences alone doesn’t tell you how effective that strategy is.

This comparison is laughable. None of the sites you listed has to absorb millions of pilgrims arriving at once, for fixed rites, over the same five days.

Makkah is built to house, feed and move millions of pilgrims within a single week. I can not emphasise enough how irrelevant your aesthetic preferences are.

And this is before you realise the Clock Tower is an endowment, with its profits going back into the Grand Mosque.

As per usual, all this outrage and you have no idea what you’re talking about.
