AMA-Con

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

Hey! Our friends at the Amarillo Public Library are having a mask contest!

[AmarilloPublicLibrary @AmarilloPublic]

Let’s #WearAMaskForAmarillo!
We’re holding a contest to find the funniest, most original, most artistic masks in town!

Jade City is being adapted for television!!! Did you get a chance to meet Fonda Lee at #AMACON19? This is awesome news!

[Fonda Lee **news and updates** @FondaJLee]

I CAN FINALLY SHARE THE NEWS: the JADE CITY TV SHOW is in development!!! There are still a whole lot of steps before it hits @peacockTV but I'm beyond excited to be working with this team. 🎉🎉🎉

Submissions need to be in no later than Tuesday, July 28th at 8 PM. We will do our best to make sure that every submission gets used. Let's see what you've done this year! #AMACON2020

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

You deserve a chance to showcase your Cosplay in spite of COVID-19 forcing AMA-CON and other cons across the country to close. So we at AMA-CON are giving you an opportunity to showcase your work!
#AMACON2020

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

Also, tell us something about yourself: why you Cosplay, how long you've been doing it, how many costumes you've made, what your inspiration is, etc. Keep it to within 100 words or less and include a link to your personal Cosplay page, social media page, etc

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

#AMACON2020 is cancelled. This decision was not made lightly, and no doubt will be disappointing to our fans, but we want to make AMA-CON a positive experience and protect everyone’s health. We plan to come back bigger and better next year: July 31 & August 1, 2021!

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

An accomplishment to be applauded by geeks of all ages!

[David J. Peterson @Dedalvs]

My daughter (4yo) just finished a HUGE project, and I’m too proud not to share! She’s been learning to write her letters, and as a project she decided to write the name of one @Pokemon per letter (A-Z) and draw their picture. Here they are!

[Patrick Stewart @SirPatStew]

Our #StarTrekPicard season finale is Thursday, and starting today until 4/23, you can watch for free on @CBSAllAccess in the US with the code: GIFT. https://t.co/i2IfFQN3I8

It's felt good to bring Picard back. I can't wait to reunite with our cast and crew for Season 2.

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

It's all in the point of view.

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

In the meantime, the best thing you can do to make sure AMA-CON takes place as planned is to wash your hands and follow other advice from the CDC. #FlattenTheCurve

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

At this time we have no plans to cancel AMA-CON. August 1 & 2 is far outside the 8-week window the CDC recommended for canceling events of 50+ people.

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

We'll follow guidelines from CDC and City of Amarillo Department of Public Health, but unless something changes, our plan is absolutely to explore the awesomeness with all of you this summer!

[AMA-Con @Ama_contx]

Live long and prosper.
