OPEN LETTER
Dear @FIFAcom@fifamedia@theafcdotcom@TrollFootball@nocontextfooty and all Football Journalist in the World
Malaysia vs Singapore 6-0 is dabbling in illicit schemes and reeking of gambling
Why?
Malaysia scored six goals against Singapore—equaling their biggest-ever victory in the history after 1976.
Why is this notable? Because Malaysia needed as many goals as possible to overcome Indonesia's goal difference and qualify for the final, and the two nations are close neighbors with shared cultural roots that were once part of the same country.
In terms of FIFA rankings, Malaysia sits at No. 137, while Singapore is at No. 146, It clearly makes no sense to lose that easily.
In fact, looking at the last five meetings prior to this, Malaysia lost three times, drew once, and won only once.
For the another reason, in the match, Statistically, Malaysia did not completely dominate Singapore—whether in terms of shots on goal, possession, or the creation of scoring opportunities.
How, then, did Malaysia manage to score six goals with such statistics? It makes little sense that they scored only four goals against Bangladesh yet six against Singapore
there are reasonable grounds to suspect, Singapore intentionally lost and that Malaysia resorted to means violating the spirit of fair play to secure the victory.
We hope this is thoroughly investigated.
