Most people do not know this but you should wash your avocados before eating them. 🥑
Before you slice into that creamy avocado, give it a good wash with a bit of soap! Even if the skin looks clean, it can harbor bacteria, pesticides, and dirt.
That's because before you get them from the grocery store, there's been hands all over those avocados before you take them home. Just as shopping carts are contaminated with a great deal of bacteria - that goes for avocados as well.
Wash the avocado before cutting with a knife because as the knife goes through the avocado skin it can contaminate the inside of the avocado.
