The PCB is reportedly moving away from the traditional A/B/C/D central contract categories and introducing a format-specific "Tracks" system:

🔴 Track A – Test specialists
🔴 Track AB – Players excelling in both Tests & ODIs
⚪ Track BC – ODI + T20I hybrids
⚪ Track C – White-ball/T20 specialists
🌱 Track D – Development pathway players

This could reshape player contracts, selection priorities, and career progression by rewarding specialists instead of forcing players into a one-size-fits-all structure.
