I thank everyone who defended me, it’s a sad day when everything positive is looked at through a racist lens. I will never stop seeing people on the content of their character.
I’m very saddened tonight to get so much hatred over a tweet where I complemented another woman just because she was a beautiful young woman. I saw strength and praised it. Unfortunately because she and I don’t have the same skin color, a furry of racist accusations came at me.
@FAAlmaWrites@citizencaitlin @365DiversityLLC And thank you for being so knowledgeable, also being a white woman on how racist it is for me to encourage another woman. Are you not allowed to compliment other women? The Bible says we are all God’s children and love your neighbor!
@FAAlmaWrites@citizencaitlin @365DiversityLLC Hey I would tell you the same thing if you posted your pic and said you had to be courageous to dye your hair, or wear a skimpy dress. This is not about race, it’s about encouraging women. I have nothing to do with dress code policy, all I said was you’re beautiful!
@Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC Sorry, I read that wrong and thought you meant I was hostile. My bad. Thank you for sticking up for my very innocent comment. I had no idea all this would come from something loving. I rarely even comment on Twitter. And I feel like I’ve been attacked tonight.
@CKHyppolite @365DiversityLLC Thank you so much. I like complimenting all women and encouraging them. It’s just my way of spreading love, and I do that everyday because I #1 am a Christian, but #2 I teach Zumba and constantly encourage women to feel the love we all have for each other! ❤️
@WimminsRea @365DiversityLLC So if I was not white and said the same thing it would be ok??? Thank you for the lesson in racism. I’ve got a different approach, love your neighbor as yourself. That means I can praise my neighbor and encourage them out of love, because Jesus said so!
@clark_chel @365DiversityLLC Who said ghetto? I said beautiful woman! That was an encouragement for her to know she’s beautiful always. I’m going bright red, I hope you will encourage me to be brave when I post it. That’s just what women do. And yes it takes courage to Rock a new style.
@evyraes79 @365DiversityLLC Whoa first that was not a permission tweet, and why would you assume that?? That’s called encouraging, telling another woman to live her best life in beauty. That’s what I do, I’m a Christian woman who lives to uplift other women, we are all beautiful!
@365DiversityLLC Why would you label me white? And presume that I or my family had been in this country for 400 years. My great grandfather immigranted to escape Nazi Germany, he had to change our last name because he didn’t want predjudice on our family.
@sunrisemoonland@DStankyStar @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC I come from immigrates who came here and couldn’t have communication with their families for 20 years because of wars. Why would you look at my picture and call me a coon?
@sunrisemoonland@DStankyStar @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC I was about to respond I didn’t get what you were saying. But it hit me, you calling me a Coon? Ok why are you mad at me? Seriously, I grew poor, my grandparents were not slave owners, they fled from nazi Germany to immigrant here.
@JdanceTender@sunrisemoonland@DStankyStar @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC Also if I put up a tweet with a new hair color or style, I would be happy for all women to praise it... unless you think it looks bad. 🤣 My dear friend who is a hairdresser and post pics on FB everyday, and I like them all the time, no freaking out then?!?
@JdanceTender@sunrisemoonland@DStankyStar @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC Thank you I never originally said anything about race, just that she was a beautiful woman! Why is that offensive? Am I not allowed to compliment women who doen’t share my skin tone? How could that be wrong or anyone be offended?
@DStankyStar @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC God bless all y’all! And I sorry I tried to defend myself when being labeled a ww as White. But I’m the racist here. Peace out! ✌️
@_BLeLLeN_ @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC Ok look, let me just say I’m sorry I have no idea what you’re upset about? Seriously, are you mad that I complimented a beautiful black woman and told her to never be afraid to wear braids because she is gorgeous?? 🤷🏼♀️
@_BLeLLeN_ @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC I’m sorry but I have know idea what you wrote. But I can say this... you can be mad at me for reasons I don’t understand. But that’s ok because I do believe we are all God’s people, there’s no difference in the kingdom of heaven. So I hope you’re a believer and we can hug it out
@MissMLaurita@kylo_Yen @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC I don’t judge anyone on color or political party, why would you assume I did? Because I’m white? I have only 4 best friends in my life that are closer than my sister: 3 are Black and 1 is Muslim. And you think I judge people? Read, don’t judge, I dont know you, you don’t know me!
@the_jonnybrown @Somethinbouttee @365DiversityLLC Also you judged me, thinking I was a hater of a woman of color. It makes me sad that you would think that because I’m white. I have 4 best friends in my life that I call family: 3 are African American and 1 is Muslim from Syria. Free speech without judgement will unite USA.
