There is no other human being who has had such an impact on history that we could reconstruct their story from those influences. @summitm

Part of what forced me to rethink my assessment practices was thinking through scenarios.
In this scenario, scores over time were averaged for a concept. What does it tell students about growth? What matters more, mistakes or success?
What messages do we want to send to kids?
Samson made a stupid decision that God ended up using to deliver a nation.
So if you're sitting there today and feeling like you've messed up His plan for your life because of your mistakes...
You, my friend, are not that powerful.
Give Him your mess and He'll make a message.
Saturday morning reflections with Todd Whitaker education quips…
“Leaders remember to focus on what is important. Always center on the right thing rather than the next thing.”
@ToddWhitaker
You are not your past.
You are not what you did.
You are who God says you are.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10
@lizziehetzer How would this look on decodable books after the students have learned several patterns? How would this look on boks the students have checked out from the library (authentic text) and are reading on their own?
There are 3 expectations that set the professional tone for your school culture:
1) Be your Best, whatever your role, do your best
2) No Surprises. If something is wrong, I want to hear it from you, not the grapevine.
3) We support each other. We are a team, not competitors
My friend…
You are so much more than what they tried to say about you. Toxic people will always try to taint what is healthy and good.
Pay them no mind.
You are a Child of the King. Let that speak for itself.
Don’t whisper about others. Instead, shout about the saving power of the blood of Jesus, His healing power, and the hope His presence gives to our lives.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
Jehovah Jireh This blessed name of God means “the Lord will provide,” and it’s a name filled with power and might. He gives us exactly what we need to produce the greatest growth in us and the most far-reaching impact for His kingdom.
