There are reports, including an excellent one by @MichaelKarlis below, that the Spurs are cracking down on season ticket holders reselling NBA Finals seats on unauthorized secondary markets. The team is revoking memberships and pulling privileges for offenders as other fans face massive sticker shock, with Game 1 "nosebleeds" at the Bank hitting $959+.

San Antonio is nearly the opposite of New York where working class salaries differ tremendously.
Right now, the "get-in" minimum price for Game 1 and Game 2 is roughly $1,000 to $1,400 just to get in the door. The most expensive courtside seats in San Antonio are pushing $47,000 to nearly $50,000.
When the series shifts to MSG for Game 3, the minimum price effectively doubles. The "get-in" floor for Game 3 is still over $4,000. For a potential Game 6 in New York, the absolute cheapest tickets are listed at over $5,200.
A night San Antonio won't forget.
