5 Ways to Overcome Bad Days
1. Pray
2. Remind yourself it’s temporary and tomorrow is a new day.
3. Find someone to help. You’ll forget about your own problems.
4. Look at your challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow.
5. Believe that the best is yet to come.
“Together we can go further, faster, and bigger than others can even imagine.” Thank you @brewerhm for this inspiring thought as we move into 2020! #becomingrelentless
As a new principal of a struggling building my #OneWord2020 is relentless. We need to be relentless in doing what’s best for our students and showing them that they are capable of hard things because they matter.
“In my world there are no bad kids, just impressionable, conflicted young people wrestling with emotions and impulses, trying to communicate their feelings and needs the only way they know how.”
You cannot discipline trauma - student behavior is only one indicator of what is happening, its layered, it's emotional, it's experiential, its triggered, its reactionary - student's often only show us what they want to show us.
Be excited for the new year because although it brings new challenges, it also brings new OPPORTUNITIES to make a greater impact!
