This week we had fun employing the Kagan Stand Up, Hand Up, Pair Up strategy. Students worked with a different partner for each question to analyze, discuss and solve together. Eavesdropping on their collaborative discussions is my favorite part of this activity! @TigersCypress

Fourth grade transformed the MakerSpace into our Math House of Waffles today! Students rotated from the “kitchen” (to measure, mix and cook) then to the “dining room”. While two groups cooked and ate, the others played multiplication war and fluency Jenga. #teach #math #4thgrade

Order Up! Today, Cypress mathematicians combined their fraction, measurement and problem-solving skills to adjust waffle recipes for various serving sizes. Their awesome math skills resulted in some delicious treats! Project-based learning never tasted so good. @TigersCypress
