@BBCWalesNews Yes. If the so-called “Prince of Wales” has a taxpayer-funded residence here, then at the very least, the democratically elected leader of the country should have one.
Imagine watching this as a Welsh person and then going on to vote for an English Nationalist party.
Beautiful timing from the FAW 👌🏴

Fujitsu has earned over £2.5 billion from Post Office contracts since the Horizon system was introduced in 1999.
Water companies have paid their shareholders £85 billion since privatisation.
Raskin: You're running a massive Epstein coverup right out of the DOJ. You redacted the names of abusers, enablers, accomplices and coconspirators, apparently to spare them embarrassment and disgrace, which is the exact opposite of what the law ordered you to do.
Even worse, you shockingly failed to redact many of the victims names, which is what you were ordered to do by congress. Some of the victims had come forward publicly, but many had not. Many had kept their torment private, even from family and friends. But you published their names, their identities, their images on thousands of pages for the world to see.
This is why I post and fight against WRU destruction of rugby in Valleys. WRU has to remove souless pretend regions and bring rugby home to the people.
The Guardian view on Welsh rugby: enduring an existential crisis with cultural roots | Editorial https://t.co/xaFetp0WPb
@VagueRegions@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@KarenClydach I would argue that we would be in a better place had we gone for a proper national regional structure complete with a proper governance model the last time round but looks like history repeating itself. Really going now 😀
@VagueRegions@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@KarenClydach Are you suggesting that growing up close the the Scarlets has no impact in the aspirations of young people and their interest in playing rugby? I’m pretty confident that the base would increase.
Significant investment is obvs required but what is the cost of not investing?
@VagueRegions@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@KarenClydach I don’t think the experience of talented young players here is currently comparable for a range of reaons. We would also
significantly increase the base/ talent pool as a result of locating a professional region here.
@VagueRegions@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@KarenClydach I would argue the reverse The initial support has led to long term sustained success. Wru have not provided that kind of support 2 RGC to date. The process stalled. WRU will only become more financially successful if they implement a strong structure that draws on all it’s assets
@VagueRegions@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@KarenClydach Not true re the pathway. Sale currently provides a more effective route for NWales talent.
The whole of NE Wales is within the 1 hour and the majority of the remaining population to the W too. I don’t have the exact figures but it’s clearly true.
@VagueRegions@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@KarenClydach Vast majority of the population is within a less than 1 hour travel area. Not a major hurdle/ disincentive to see professional sport in a region with few alternatives. Football fans from NW Wales regularly travel 2 NW England. RGC in current form don’t offer an effective pathway
@VagueRegions@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@KarenClydach Y11 are clearly not benefactors. They are a commercial investor-as there recent behaviour demonstrates. The Connacht model is relevant as they have demonstrated long term sustainability post a period as a dev. region
@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@VagueRegions@KarenClydach The benefactor model is dead. Future regions need a combination of wru, supporter and sponsor funding. Connacht provides an example of how a Dev Region can progress with the correct support. We need a complete re set not a bungled axing of 1 existing super club.
@Danpugs02@WelshRugbyUnity@thetrosk@VagueRegions@KarenClydach There’s plenty of evidence 2 suggest serious consideration. A thriving community club game, +ve levels of support for RGC given the level at which they play/ investment provided 2 date. It’s more a question can Wales afford 2 disenfranchise a third of it’s supporter base & talent
Dwi ddim yn credu fod ymddiheuriad yn ddigonol os wnaeth y sylwadau yn rhinwedd ei swydd. Oedd yn gyflogedig gan @S4C neu cwmni teledu arall ar y pryd? Hollol anerbyniol yn yr oes yma.
🏉 Mae'r cyn chwaraewr rygbi Lyn Jones wedi ymddiheuro ar ôl iddo ddweud fod y Dreigiau ‘yn chwarae fel menywod’ tra'n crynhoi hanner cyntaf y gêm rhyngddyn nhw a Benetton yng Nghwpan Her Ewrop. https://t.co/JKJA8fXQzz
@TheVietGwent There has never been a better opportunity for a comprehensive restructuring of Welsh rugby 2 create genuine regions that represent the whole of Wales. Underpinned by a strong league structure. But it will take excellent leadership and vision to build long term sustainable success
Reform supporters keep telling me I am lying when I repeat this. So let’s be clear.
Here is the video of Nigel Farage himself saying the country will need to “have insurance based healthcare” - private healthcare. Those are his words. That is not a rumour and not spin.
An insurance-based system means you pay when you get sick. It means cancer treatment becomes a financial crisis as well as a medical one. It means missed payments risk your home. That is how private healthcare systems work. Can you afford that on top of rent food energy and council tax.
Now imagine this after years of pressure on public services. Imagine what a Labour government might leave behind and then imagine Reform coming in on top of that with cuts.
Because it does not stop at healthcare.
Nigel Farage has also talked about cutting 68,000 public sector jobs. Those are British jobs. Processing benefits running borders staffing services keeping the country functioning. At the same time he has questioned minimum wage protections for young people. Lower pay fewer jobs higher bills.
How exactly are people meant to cope.
This is not about left or right. It is about consequences.
Do not vote to make your own life harder. You have already had it hard enough.
🏴 From professional isolation of the north to struggle of maintaining school game, Welsh rugby's decline has many causes. But can the WRU find solutions when so few now trust it?
