NYC-ACC kill lists now called "Emergency Placement". Shelter stress makes adoptions/fosters URGENT: https://t.co/SqSyK6ls0e Others here: https://t.co/TBfZ3P39RR OR shelters near you. They are in this mess because of us. #Adopt#foster any animal(s) you can. Thank you & go #vegan.
For International Women's Day, I just want to say that trans-women are women and I am so sorry about the hate I have seen today from TERFS. Please know you are loveable and loved and they are the ones with the problem, not you.
I LURRRRRRVES this!
And while I have no doubt this totally amazing human being would have looked great and been just the best sport had things gone as originally planned...
This is even better!!
You won't regret listening to this,
#OneLove_LoveAll
@Bellagnese @KristinMak2 Yes, and while you're at it, maybe tell the kid in you that you are a grown-up now and need not act like that anymore. You can use adult communication skills.
Does it seem a little convenient that with the emergence of plant based meats suddenly everyone is anti-processed foods? Like you don’t eat bread? Crackers? Granola bars? Condiments? Nuggets? Everyone is eating only from the produce and meat section now? Yeah right.
@garylfrancione As an aside, I personally avoid Impossible products because they remind me too much of what I avoid - animal products. But I am a long-term Vegan who is excited about convincing non-Vegans to try plant-based food. So from a utilitarian perspective, I am "for" Impossible meat.
@garylfrancione I have read some of the comments, and know you disagree Dr. Francione, but I do see this from a utilitarian perspective of getting more Vegan options into restaurants. I personally could not eat something fried in animal fat, but I feel the more Vegan options out there 1/2
@garylfrancione 2/2 the more likely people will be willing to try them. I just spoke with someone the other day who reiterated this exactly for why he tried an Impossible burger. Again, the ethical issues around Impossible products, I see from an ethical utilitarian perspective.
@Tori_got_moxie Vanilla oat milk is what I always have on hand for my coffee so it gets put into things like this all the time :) Ideal? Nah, but I put so many other flavorings in like, salt, pepper, spices, nooch, garlic, etc., that I never notice. Rock on with your vanilla flavoured oat milk!
@joesmith323@cbcnewsbc Because of course putting some pink paint on something that was easily removed is as bad as not caring about the climate crisis.
To say that a sentient being is not harmed by death is very odd. Sentience has not evolved to serve as an end in itself. Rather, it allows those who have it to identify harmful situations that threaten survival—a means to the end of continued existence: https://t.co/xSoMOAI2Pj
@LeafSingh I am honestly sorry for whatever was done to you that would make you say something like that. Unharmed, happy, peaceful people do not say things like that. You did not deserve to be hurt in whatever way you were that would make you want to hurt someone.
@cbcnewsbc Glad this is making news. I've known for decades about their anti-LGBTQIA2+ *policies.* When I learned a high school mate went there, I knew she had crossed to the other side of reason. She is "born again." You know, into the religion that values compassion and all that. Perverse
@Concern47348137@LeafSingh With respect, I find it hard to believe someone as educated and aware in the health care field can pretend to themselves not to know of the horrific unnecessary cruelty that animals go through. Please leave the chickens alone.
@LeafSingh Imagine how the chickens feel. Oh right, they can't feel. After living in a cage the size of a piece of paper, they were horrifically *unnecessarily* killed. Maybe take your $37 and instead donate it to a sanctuary that has rescued a few. It's 2023. You can't claim not to know.
Two weeks since you had to go, my Koda. Makes me sad that people don't consider your passing anywhere near as significant as a human's, when no human ever even looked at me this way, let alone loved me.
