Meet TPD Chief, the newest member of the Durham Constabulary Dog Unit.

After being found abandoned and handed into a rescue centre by a local dog warden, Chief was searching for his forever home. Luckily, he was spotted by a Chief Inspector, and following an assessment by the Dog Unit to see if he had the makings of a police dog, he passed with flying colours. In honour of the Chief Inspector who gave him his second chance, he was proudly named Chief.

Now settled in with an experienced handler, Chief has begun his environmental training, building confidence and learning new skills every day. With hard work and determination, he’s well on his way to becoming a fully fledged police dog.
