Nana Kwame Nnuro Agyapong II (Senior Emmanuel Ackah) will be sworn in this Thursday May 21st, 2026 as the Nkɔsoɔhene of the New Juaben Traditional Area.

He is the chief of Nyamekrom and a board member of the Kumasi Abbatoir Company Limited

Senior Benjamin Kwaku Boakye has been nominated as the next Paramount Chief of the Agona Traditional Area.

On May 18, 2026, Nana Acheampomaa Ntansa Yiadom II, together with the kingmakers of the Agona Traditional Area, presented Mr. Benjamin Kwaku Boakye to the Asantehene as the new caretaker of the revered “Okomfo Anokye Amoampon” stool.

The next step will see Mr. Boakye led by the council to swear allegiance — first to the people of Agona, then to the traditional council, and finally to the Asantehene himself.
