The continuous back and forth with the COVID regulations and how dangerous it is definitely has eroded public trust. Regaining that will be difficult, but this is why transparency in government is necessary so when policies change, we know the “why” #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
Unfortunately we will see an increase of individuals who decline vaccinations. I am seeing it in my field now. Those who once did have decided that they will no longer get them and won’t subject their children to it. #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
The reason we saw such an unequal impact of the COVID 19 virus is because of a pattern of disproportionate health care distribution. Had we strengthened these communities before, they would not have been impacted so negatively. #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
Here, we can see some of the important risk factors for active shooters. Having the ability to identify and mitigate any of these risk/identifying factors can save several lives and help a troubled individual! #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
Rarely is there extensive studying post-attack. This is something that can be game changing in preventing future attacks. After Action Reports may help to prevent future attacks as much as tips about a potential attack. #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
Finding consensus in identifying and tracking mass shootings with lower casualties (<7), is critical. Whether there were 10 victims or 5, these cases still impact how we address policy. Ensuring all cases are represented is critical in pushing for change. #SocialPolicy#MacroSW

Networking is key in todays society! As a Bobcat we see and can identify with other bobcats within the workforce, this can be a major stepping stone for international students who may not have as many connections in the US #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
I didn’t even think about how many times international students have to answer the same questions over and over. I like that Richard decided to use it as a teacher able moment rather thank getting offended. This genuine curiosity can build cultural bridges #SocialPolicy#MacroSW

I had a similar situation with a roommate during my junior year who was an international student from Bangladesh and there was a communication barrier. Sometimes the words don’t translate the same.
@C00p_Noise Yes, I 100% agree! Kids should be able to use the a valuation method that works for them. The same way we have entrance exams for each grade, there should be a sort or testing evaluation, grading whether the child does better with tests, writing, speeches, etc
We 100% need to reevaluate standardized testing. I’ve struggled with test anxiety in silence in the past and know kids today do as well. #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
We need an updated curriculum! We need courses that will actually ensure students are ready for the world in the realm of finances, economics, trades, etc. #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
There is no reason students can go to school and wonder if the building will be too hot or too cold and be expected to stay there. Some students have this concern at home, the fact that a public ally funded institution has this issue is unacceptable. #SocialPolicy#MacroSW
Police Officers do NOT belong in schools. Your only enhancing the likelihood that a CHILD will end up in jail. They don’t treat them like kids they treat them like adults when they are not. We need more Social Workers or Psychologists. #SocialPolicy#MicroSW
