The True Colors Of Eritrea 🇪🇷

In a surprising development, Eritrea’s Minister of Information (@shabait) has shared an image that appears to reflect the current daily life of Eritreans. The photo shows more than eight elderly Eritreans gathered in a circle, preparing to share a traditional meal of injera and tibs.
Some of you might wonder that the portions seem very small to feed the group. In fact, it isn’t even enough to feed one grown adult.
Please don’t judge the government. It’s Ethiopia’s government fault.
Due to Ethiopia’s government fault, Injera (made from teff) and tibs (meat stir-fry) become very special, relatively rare delicacies in Eritrea today. Both key ingredients — teff and meat — have historically been imported from Ethiopia. Ongoing tensions and conflict between the two countries have severely restricted such imports, making these items even harder to obtain from Ethiopia.
Accordingly, the Eritrean government is rationing these and other essential goods to ensure that civilians can still mark the 2026 Easter celebrations with a traditional feast.

Eritrean Sawa’s Version FANO 😭😭😭

A shocking and deeply disturbing video released by the Amhara FANO National Movement shows young children — many appearing no older than 13 — being subjected to target shooting and military training. These are not volunteers; they are impressionable kids who have almost certainly been coerced or forced into the ranks of FANO, robbed of their childhood and thrust into a brutal conflict they never chose.
It is an absolute disgrace and a moral outrage to see children this young being weaponized as cannon fodder in someone else’s war. While these innocent girls and boys are risking their lives on the frontlines, their so-called leaders are like Zemene Kassie living in comfort and luxury, safely tucked away in places like Uganda and Sudan, far from the violence they orchestrate.
This is not resistance — it is exploitation of the most vulnerable. Using child soldiers is a war crime under international law, and no political grievance justifies it. All parties in Ethiopia’s conflicts, including Fano, must immediately stop recruiting and training minors, release those already ensnared, and allow these children to return to school and safety. Leaders who hide abroad while sacrificing the next generation deserve nothing but contempt.

It’s clear that Amhara FANO National Movements are learning a thing or two from Shabia.
