Historic shift in central bank gold demand may be starting. 🚨
The Bank of Korea is preparing to buy physical gold for the first time in 13 years.
South Korea has kept its official gold reserves unchanged at 104.4 tonnes since 2013, making this its first addition in over a decade.
The World Gold Council says 50% of central banks planning to buy more gold expect to source it domestically, pointing to a growing trend of reserve diversification.
This may not be a huge purchase.
But if other central banks follow, it could mark the start of a new wave of official gold buying, driven by geopolitics, diversification, and confidence in hard assets.

Solido reports an exploit that drained 293.7M $SUPRA, worth around $900K 🚨

Another major security incident hits the crypto market.
Bitcoin developers have introduced BIP-361, a proposal to prepare Bitcoin for the quantum computing era.
It proposes a long-term migration plan.
• Stop sending $BTC to quantum-vulnerable addresses.
• Introduce quantum-resistant wallet types.
• Eventually sunset legacy ECDSA/Schnorr signatures after a multi-year transition.
The idea is to upgrade before quantum computers become capable of stealing vulnerable coins.
BIP-361 could eventually make $BTC in wallets that never migrate unspendable, including long-dormant coins.
Supporters say freezing vulnerable coins is better than letting quantum attackers steal them.
Critics argue Bitcoin shouldn't change ownership rules, even for security.
It's still only a draft proposal with no activation date, but it marks one of Bitcoin's most significant discussions on long-term security since Taproot.
BIP-361 also arrives just weeks after the heated debate around BIP-110.
While BIP-110 proposed using Bitcoin consensus rules to limit certain non-monetary transaction data to reduce blockchain spam, BIP-361 proposes changing consensus rules to protect Bitcoin from a future quantum computing threat.
Indian Parliament's Monsoon Session begins today, and one report could be the biggest crypto development the country has seen in years. 🇮🇳
Parliament's Finance Committee is expected to table its report on "Virtual Digital Assets and the Way Forward" after months of consultations with exchanges, the RBI, SEBI, CBDT, ICAI, FIU and other stakeholders.
RBI has reiterated its opposition to granting crypto legal status and continues to favour keeping banks insulated from the sector, while other stakeholders have argued for a regulated framework instead.
The report could shape India's long-awaited crypto policy.
India's 39 million crypto users make this one of the most important crypto policy reports.
China's "National Team" Steps In. 🚨
China is moving to stop its stock market selloff after roughly ¥10 trillion ($1.4T) was erased in just two weeks.
State-backed funds China Reform Holdings and China Chengtong will buy a combined ¥60B ($8.9B) in domestic stocks, backed by the PBOC's market-support facility.
China has used similar state-led buying before, notably in 2015 and 2024 to stabilize markets during periods of extreme volatility.
Beijing may roll out even larger stimulus measures.
This is my personal opinion.
For me, this has never been about BJP, Congress, or any political party. If any party were in power today, I would be asking the same questions.
I don’t support anyone blindly. I support what’s right, and I question what’s wrong.
The lives of ordinary people, our youth, and the reality on the ground matter far more to me than political narratives.
If a government does good work, I’ll appreciate it. If it fails its people, I’ll speak up. It doesn’t matter which party it is.
What hurts the most is watching innocent people suffer because of someone else’s mistakes, while those in positions of power continue without accountability or even a simple apology.
Listening to citizens should be the first duty of those in power—not the last resort.
It genuinely breaks my heart to see young people and ordinary citizens facing violence while thousands are out on the streets, asking to be heard.
Peaceful voices deserve to be heard. Accountability should never depend on which party is in power.
Don’t support any party blindly. Support the truth. Support justice. And make sure that whoever is responsible is held accountable under the law.
Because this isn’t about politics.
It’s about humanity.

Yemen's Houthis have announced an immediate naval blockade on Saudi Arabia, calling it a "blockade for blockade" policy. 🚨
The group said it "reserves the right to answer blockade with blockade and escalation with escalation."
If enforced, the move could significantly escalate tensions and disrupt maritime security in the Red Sea and surrounding region.
